Gretchen L. Mandekor

Gretchen’s practice focuses on the defense of personal injury and professional negligence lawsuits, including wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. She defends both legal and medical malpractice cases. She defends individuals and businesses, including large corporations. She has successfully tried dozens of jury trials to verdict in both state and federal court. Due to her reputation among her peers, she is frequently asked to serve as an arbitrator in resolving both first party and third party claims and lawsuits. Before joining Schulte Anderson, Gretchen managed her own law firm from 2007 through 2014. Prior to opening her own office, she worked in a large defense litigation firm in downtown Portland. Gretchen has been recognized as one of Oregon’s Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2008 through 2013). She joined Schulte Anderson as a partner in 2014.

Although born and raised in Canada, Gretchen considers herself a third-generation Oregonian due to her roots in Corvallis, where her mother grew up and her parents married. Gretchen is a dual national and fluently bilingual. As a result of her classical ballet training, she enjoys all forms of dance, as well as swimming and boating with her husband, their two daughters and their beloved pooches.
